Colorado: Days 3-10

After we left South Dakota we headed straight for Colorado. We drove for nine hours until we reached Rocky Mountain National Park. We arrived at a campground called Long’s Peak camp. It was a beautiful site with a wonderful look of the mountains. We went hiking each day we were there, we couldn’t help but soak up the beauty of this place. I have seen Colorado before but this time it was different and more beautiful than the last. After spending two night in the Rocky Mountains, we headed south for Telluride. Jason played two amazing shows there opening up for our friends’ band “Kitchen Dwellers”. Jason also played a couple of songs with them each night!! It was so much fun!!

We got to see the Dwellers play a few shows and we also stuck around to hang out with everyone and catch a couple night grass concerts during the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. We got to see “Pert’ Near Sandstone” and “Elephant Revival”. Both shows were filled with great energy and music. Telluride was a magical place with lots of love, beautiful people, scenery and music!!! We will definitely be volunteering at Telluride next summer.
